ReSite- Manual of Scores, Manifestos and Radical Actions

Call for submissions for ReSite no.3 Vol 2 & all issues beyond!

ReSite is an assembling publication where pages have an element of audience participation or interaction. ReSite is part of the tradition of Fluxus editions where anyone can perform a Fluxus action or score. In addition to this performance-based approach, ReSite taps into the rich tradition of the avant-garde with contributions of manifestos and documentation of art actions.

ReSite encourages participation by writers and musicians to produce visual scores and manifestos as well as continuing the call for contributions by conceptual artists.

Send 40 copies size 21cm x14.8cm (A5). Please leave 2cms on the left hand side for binding. Works can be double sided and can be more than one page. Copies should be flat and landscape format. Pages will be wire-bound. ReSite is an on going project. Each issue holds 20 contributions. Copy sent to all.

Geelong Library

49 Little Malop St. Geelong, VIC 3220

Field Study issued its first manifesto in 1993. Influenced by the surrealist, fluxus and mail art movements it also is a logical continuation of the free press movement of the 1960s. Coordinated by David Dellafiora and Benedict Phillips, its artistic output is centred around the annual ‘Field Report’ assembling book. This tradition continues with the growth of sister assembling publications: KART, ReSite and WIPE.

With all the Field Study publications, artists contribute multiples of their work that are accepted and included with minimal editorial control or censorship. These contributions can come from all over the world and their scope is diverse and inclusive. In fact anyone is invited to become a Field Study networker, irrespective of their arts practice.

Global & Local exhibition in the glass case of Geelong Library showcases Field Study’s assembling publications and shows works made by Australian Field Study networkers including:

Marc Cuthbertson, David Dellafiora, Phil Edwards, Robyn M Fry, Susan Hartigan, Mardi Janetzki, Karingallery, Glenn Fry, Noreen Grahame, Denis Mizzi, Jiri Tibor Novak, F’nL Osowski, Luke Sinclair, Glen Smith, Zoe Snyder, Ive Sorocuk, Pete Spence, Spowart & Cooper, Stephen Spurrier, David Lawrence Stafford, Guy Sterling, Cornelis Vleeskens & Anthony Woodward

Lutz Wohlrab's Jubilee Assembling was received at the Field Study postbox this week. An outstanding edition which these photos do no justice for. Lutz also included an edition for KART and a copy of Kunst Im Kontakt book on Robert Rehfeldt. Many thanks Lutz for your great work for the history of Mail Art.
